Golf swing slice

Slicing and hooking when you are playing golf are some of the challenges that are faced when you are trying to put in a good swing. Fortunately, there is a way around these things when you if you have patience and are willing to persist in what you are doing. Slicing only occurs when you swing the wrong way.

When you find yourself slicing, it means you that either you are holding the golf club in the wrong way or you are you are using a wrong stance. A V sign that is facing towards the sky is the shape your hands are supposed to make. The grip should not be turned too much to the left to avoid a slicing shot. You should also be careful not to align your shoulders to the extreme left, as this will only cause you to slice the shot.

If you leave too much distance between you and the club, you are also likely to slice your shot when you are in the process of doing the backswing. Make sure that you make a direct hit with the club and this will ensure that the ball travels straight to the designated point.

There should not be too much distance between your stance and the ball. The further your stance is from your ball, the greater the chance that you will slice the ball. Always leave the correct distance between the ball and you before you make the swing.

The more you practice, the more you will find out more about the mistakes that you do unconsciously when swinging the club that result in slicing. After all, experience is the best teacher. You can also learn from others, when you attend golf classes or visit a professional. Consistency is also important when you want to hit the ball without any slicing.

Concentration is also needed when you are singing and hitting the ball. Shut everything around you and just keep in mind on hitting the ball straight as long as you have the correct stance and the correct balance with your feet, shoulders, knees and arms.

Focus your eyes on the ball and the target. Nothing else is supposed to distract you from where you are focusing. You should be able to literally see that imaginary line between the ball and the flag when you are about to make the swing. This might sound simple and a point that you may overlook but you should take in mind that the small little things that you overlook are the cause of the slices in our golf swing.
