Simple and effective are the two keywords for a successful golf drill. If you try to complicate things, you will not be able to execute a good golf drill. Here are six tips for good golf drills that will help you.

Firstly, the ‘Ok Sign’ Drill is when you erect the ball with your normal grip, then remove the forefinger and thumb of the right hand, and then imitate an OK signal. The tips of the two fingers that are on top of the grip should be touching at this point. It works wonders when you remove the pressure from the two fingers.

On the second tip, Left hand drill is another drill you can take up. This time all you have to do is hit the ball with your left hand on the grip. The left hand should be the only one on the grip. If you a right handed person you might need a lot of time to practice with this method. With this method, you can make a better lag in the impact zone.

The Ball Too Far Forward drill is whereby you tee the ball up and in such a way that it is at the exterior of your right heel. Feel your club head extend down to the target line when you hit the golf ball. It promotes delayed release.

Next up you should learn to keep your head steady when you are putting a good golf drill. You will need a friend to help you when you are practicing to keep your head up though. If you are on your own, you can stand against the wall so that your head does not have much movement. In the process of swinging, make sure your head is kept still. It may seem impossible at first but you will be able to do it with enough practice.

You should also lengthen your arc, which is commonly termed as the Right foot drill. If you use a short swing arc, you will not be able to do a body turn on the backswing. On the other hand, with n arc that is lengthened, you can do a full body turn and thus the club will be pushed further and speed is generated.

Finally yet importantly, the right hand drill involves widening your arc. When your arms are wide open, you can acquire more distance, and have a clean swing so that your hands will not need to bend during your backswing.
